Jaguar X-Type saloon version 1.0

The X-Type was introduced in 2001 as an entry level model to fill the gap between the medium class S-Type and parent company Ford's Mondeo, it was marketed to compete with the likes of the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes C Class. Both X and S type were based on Ford floorpans, there is some truth in the rumors that the X borrows from the Mondeo platform. Floorpan and chassis are similar, as is the transverse engine layout and components like switchgear. The V6 engine is a reworked version of the Ford Duratec V6, the manual gearbox is a version of the Ford MTX-75 5 speed gearbox. Top end V6 models have permanent AWD, torque split is 60% rear, 40% front, 5 Speed automatic is an option using a Japanese Jatco 5 speed autobox.

The X-Type is due to cease production after the 2008 model year.

About the model:

I found the model on Google Warehouse, it came as a set of 3 meshes - ranging from one very detailed complete with interior to one with just basic detailing. This model is the best parts of the 3 meshes combined, it has mostly been rebuilt and most parts (headlamps, grille, windows, rims, interior, all textures, gauges) are scratch made by me for Racer.
