A Little History

In the 1960s there were many lightweight sportscars, most were adequately powered by their 4 cylinder engines.
Some, however felt that they needed more, a LOT more. Carroll Shelby started putting Ford 289CI V8 engines in
a small car made by AC in England and it became the Shelby Cobra. It's success on the racetrack got the attention
of a company called The Rootes Group in England that was making a similar car called the Sunbeam Alpine. They were
impressed enough to call Shelby to see if he could work his magic on their car. He agreed to do the engineering
for $10,000, with a commission per car once in production.
The resulting car was a great success on the track, among it's many other racing credentials it held the
AHRA 1/4 mile record from 1965-1967.

A Tiger for Racer

The Sunbeam Tiger has a very high power to weight ratio, so accelleration is not a problem. Traction however
is a bit limited due to the 186/80-13 tires. To be fast in the Tiger requires forethought and a gentle
left foot. The car is well suited to small tight tracks ,on the long rambling tracks you'll find the cars
high gearing leaves you looking for another gear. With a top speed of 190KPH (118mph) the Tiger is no land
speed record threat but it gets to that top speed in a hurry!

driver model for Racer (or whatever you can convert it to).

282 polygons. use it for whatever. if you do use it, please mention my name and website in your readme file. yeah right... i doubt you will do that for me, even though all you really need to do is copy and paste the info from this text, but if you are too lazy to make your own driver model, how could i possibly expect you to make the effort to credit me. hey, i'm a realist...

edit it any way you want, both the model and the textures. i don't really care what you do, just stop releasing driverless models ok? it looks stupid.
